About

Our Results-Based Financing (RBF) model redefines how impact is achieved. By tying funding to specific, measurable outcomes, we ensure every dollar drives accountability and measurable success. Payments are made only after verified results, creating a win-win for both investors and changemakers.

Through this model, we empower local networks – Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) to boost their earnings and expand their sales. We identify and back entrepreneurs who have proven their ability to thrive in challenging environments.

  • Entrepreneurs, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLAs) apply through a public ‘Request for Proposals’.
  • Applications are vetted, and selected organizations/ businesses/ entrepreneurs are notified.

Those selected sign the RBF Grant Agreement with NEX Uganda.

  • CBOs, VSLAs, and Agricultural Cooperatives start selling eligible clean energy products.
  • Field staff submit monthly sales and performance reports, which NEX Uganda verifies.

  • NEX Uganda reviews verification reports and follows up as needed.
  • Verified sales trigger payments to CBOs and VSLAs.
