NEXAccelerate Philippines

About

The Philippines’ startup ecosystem is expanding rapidly, supported by government policies and flagship events like Philippine Startup Week. However, clean energy startups remain underrepresented, with most initiatives focusing on other industries. Despite a sixfold increase in clean energy startups—raising nearly $1.3 million—87% of this funding comes from grants and competitions, highlighting a dependence on non-investment capital. Many of these startups still lack the business skills and investor access needed to scale their solutions and maximize impact on climate action and economic growth.

To bridge this gap, New Energy Nexus launched NEXAccelerate Philippines—an 8-month, free hybrid program designed for early-revenue and growth-stage clean energy and climate-tech startups. The program identifies investment-ready ventures and equips them with the support needed to secure funding and strategic partnerships, while facilitating valuable connections with technology developers and corporates to unlock pilot projects and long-term collaborations.
