The NEX Sustainable Energy Policy XChange (NEXSTEP XChange) is a national initiative that places young people at the center of Indonesia’s clean energy policy transition. Through practical experience, skill-building, and a chance to share their ideas with policymakers at the provincial level, the program equips youth to take an active role in shaping a sustainable energy future.
As part of the Smart Energy Program launched with a US$10 million grant from the IKEA Foundation, we accelerated climate innovation across the country. From CONNEX Energy Meetups and [RE]charge bootcamps to [RE]energize hackathons and the [RE]Spark Clean Energy Festival, we inspired a new wave of clean energy and climate tech youth and leaders.
