PROGRAM (program concluded)

Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EEC) Program

About

A program under the grant project establishing an Energy Efficiency Incubation Hub in Northern Mindanao, under USAID Energy Secure Philippines

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Law (RA 11285) marks a significant milestone in the Department of Energy’s commitment to sustainable energy use in the Philippines. Although still in its early stages, RA 11285 is a groundbreaking effort in the country’s energy landscape.

To support this initiative, the “Establishing an Energy Efficiency Incubation Hub in Northern Mindanao” project aims to build the entrepreneurial capacity of individuals and companies in Region X. This project includes the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Program, a 16-week hybrid business incubation program designed to help renewable energy startups and companies in Northern Mindanao launch and operate Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).

In-depth market insights

Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the EEC ecosystem in the region

Empower EEC startups

Support early-stage EEC startups; Aid in the promotion of EEC in Northern Mindanao.

Intended

Outcomes:

The program aims to increase the number of ESCOs in the region, which aligns with the DOE’s goals and initiatives in promoting energy efficiency and conservation.
